Writing a Solution Without a Problem
The most common mistake. The PRD starts with 'we will build an AI-powered feature that...' instead of 'users currently experience X problem, which costs them Y.' If you cannot articulate the problem without mentioning your solution, you have not done enough discovery work. The problem statement should be technology-agnostic.
Metrics Without Baselines or Targets
